I travel because travelling brings out the best in me.

Because of the infinite possibilities about life and the world that suddenly become real in front of my eyes.

Because when I travel, my life is enriched in completely fresh and unprecedented ways, which impact my present and future self in levels deeper than I thought was possible.

Before I started this journey, I had no idea how much clarity I would acquire about life, how much I would learn about myself, how many new possibilities would open up in my mind, how much better I would feel in my own skin, stronger, resilient against challenges and tribulations, and honest towards myself and others.

I have had incredible connections and conversations that have nourished my soul and opened windows in my mind.

I have learnt and understood the world around me better, confronted my own biases, opened myself up to life and all that it has to offer me.

I have formed bridges by connecting with people from entirely different communities, breaking the artificial boundaries imposed by nationalities, borders and statuses. Some of them have transformed people’s experiences for only a few fleeting moments, and some have been the cradle of a lasting impact in their lives, etched in their souls and mine too.

I had little idea how flexible, adaptable and calm I would get about things, being able to relinquish the artificial sense of control that I feel within my familiar frame, and rather fully open up to life and let it float me in new directions, creating a sense of expansiveness, connection and flow within me.

Travelling is not only about external exploration, but also about the internal journey we embark on. Away from familiarity, a unique sense of creativity is unleashed; which ripples outwards and impacts our lives and the lives of the people we connect with.

I feel the need to capture the beauty of the world around me, the sense of duty to shed light on different cultures, to challenge stereotypes, to foster a deeper understanding between people. My love for travel writing ste s from a deep seated love of exploring, connecting and storytelling, and its outlet is a desire to captivate readers with vivid descriptions, intriguing narratives and insightful observations.

The motivation lies in guiding the readers to experience the world through my words, inspiring them to embark on their own journey, igniting their curiosity and enlightening their spirit. My thorough introspection is my vehicle and my deeply personal endeavours are my passengers. With them, I have discovered a multitude about myself, and sharing that with others will hopefully spark a collective benefit, fostering an aura of self-development, openness and exploration.

Through highlighting my personal reflections, I aim to delve into the deeper meaning and significance of travel, at the intersections of culture, philosophy and personal growth. Maybe it’s the philosopher that I’ve always harboured within, and my passion for connecting to the human spirit and sharing the encounters that have shaped my experiences. There’s an art in capturing a fleeting moment and weaving it into a story, and when that happens, the world feels as light as a feather and as nourishing as the first rays of sun when they break through the early morning dusk. Travelling can transform the essence of our outlook on life, and I aim to capture every colourful thread and carefully weave it into the fabric of life.

Travelling has built up trust in myself, and trust in life itself, giving me the confidence to venture out alone into the unknown, show honesty, openness and willingness to change, challenge my assumptions and shift my perspective.

So, yes, I travel because I get to know who I am, and through this process I get to change the world and leave a positive legacy behind, echoeing across the world in our collective consciousness.
