Who am I?

I am a young woman passionate for exploring the world to form meaningful connections and share life-changing stories.

This space is my story as I decide to take a leap of faith and venture into a different direction.

I’m Valy, and this is my story of taking a leap into a different direction

I created this space to share my real experience of deciding to press pause on my engineering career in the UK to pursue other meaningful directions while travelling around the world.

This is not a travel blog, this is an experience blog showing how such an experience looks for me, focusing on the feelings and the thoughts behind the scenes.

You will learn a lot about me, my way of thinking and experiencing life. I hope that this will be an inspiration to others who also crave different experiences but don’t quite know where to start.

Join me on this journey to explore different sides of life, stay curious and engage with meaningful projects around the world!

Countries, and counting

A trip starting in East Africa, currently having covered Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi and Kenya. Let’s see where it continues!

Projects

I have so far been able to teach dancing in a primary school, run meditation classes in a women’s empowerment organisation, spend time with the kids in an educational charity and support in a secondary school in Malawi. At the same time, I’ve been tutoring Maths remotely, working on writing & content creation & experiencing different lifestyles across Africa.

100%

Personal

From deciding, planning and heading out, this has been my personal experience, which I’m sharing to shed some insight into the nitty-gritty of doing something different as a young professional.
